January 15, 2014

The Ukrainian govenrment will on January 15 discuss a bill to amend the list of assets not subject to privatization. The list currently includes the oil and gas company Chornomornaftogaz (Black Sea Oil and Gas).

The cabinet is going to discuss whether to sell Chornomornaftogaz assets. Energy and coal minister Eduard Stavytsky will report to the cabinet. A source of the Psikheya centre from Chornomornaftogaz said that the company is unlikely to be sold. Most probably, some properties that belong to the company and are not involved in production will be passed to the ministry.
